Encyclopedia

World Book Online

The online edition of the popular encyclopedia, suitable for all ages. Includes all articles from the print set plus over hundreds more, and includes pictures, maps, sounds (including pronunciations), videos and animations, links to websites, the World Book Dictionary and daily updates in Behind the Headlines. Includes World Book Online for Kids, World Book Online Info Finder, and World Book Online Reference Center.

Includes millions of periodical and newspaper articles from the New York Times, U.S. News and World Report, and many others.

ProQuest Discovery

The library's primary magazine, journal and newspaper database. Contains articles from over 2,500 publications, such as Time, BusinessWeek, the Chicago Tribune, the Daily Herald, the Chicago Sun-Times and the New York Times. Coverage dates for each title vary and articles from over 1,400 of the publications are available in full text.

Reference e-Books

Gale Virtual Reference Library

Keyword searchable encyclopedias and reference books related to the arts, biographies, business, education, environment, general reference, history, information and publishing, law, literature, medicine, multicultural studies, nation and world, religion, science and social science. These titles are online versions of the same Gale print reference resources found in many library reference collections.
