Wonka Wrap-Up

There was a wonderful turnout for the Willy Wonka Event that kicked-off a yearlong 50th Anniversary Celebration. These numbers tell the story:

1300 local residents of all ages attended
1077 Willy Wonka Chocolate Bars were handed out
175 moviegoers watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on the library’s big screen
257 was the correct number for the “Guess-the-number-of-candies-in-the-jar” drawing
1200 bags of freshly popped popcorn were enjoyed
#17 of the Trivia Contest was the hardest question: What were the candy bars used in the filming of Willy Wonka made of? Answer: wood
400 lollipop bookmarks were created by kids
41% of those in attendance voted Charlie Bucket as their favorite Golden Ticket winner, with Veruca Salt second at 26%
2 candy bars rose to the top of the “Candy Bar Personality Test,” with attendees choosing Almond Joy or Snickers
8000 pieces of retro candy were collected on the “Candy Walk,” including the most popular Caramel Creams (Bull’s Eyes)
