COLLEGE OF DUPAGE
425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137Free English Language Acquisition classes develop your conversation, listening and speaking, reading and writing skills. Get more involved in your community, gain skills for improved employment and further your educational opportunities through COD's ELA program. Classes and books are free.
Provides free one-on-one tutoring at a time and place convenient to the student and tutor.
English Conversation Groups designed to give adult ESL learners more practice meet at many local libraries. Call for locations and times.
PEOPLE’S RESOURCE CENTER
Locations in Westmont and Wheaton.
Offers instruction in English, math, reading skills, GED preparation, and citizenship test preparation in classes, small groups, and one-on-one sessions
Free and open to adults who live in DuPage and have registered as a PRC client.
TUTORING ENGLISH TO ADVANCE CHANGE (TEACH)
Congregation of St. Joseph of LaGrange
Free ESL one-on-one tutoring once a week for one hour. Visit the website for locations and times available. Tutors also help students prepare for GED and citizenship tests.
WORLD RELIEF CHICAGOLAND
Free English Classes for Adults through Zoom. Beginning & intermediate levels, preparation for the American workplace, tutoring for the citizenship exam & interview.
ILLINOIS ADULT LEARNING HOTLINE
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m. Operators speak English, Spanish and Polish or use the online program locator. Referral services for students, volunteers, and employers wishing to locate adult education classes near your home or work in English as a Second Language (ESL), adult literacy, preparation for high school equivalency (HSE) in English and Spanish, and citizenship.
