Diana Martinez will share the background of Andy Warhol and his journey as a first-generation immigrant from Carpatho-Rusyn roots, to living in industrial tenements in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, to an Iconic Superstar in NYC. Martinez will explain his prolific journey and how he manifested the American Dream. In addition, she will give you an inside sneak peek into the blockbuster Warhol exhibition coming this summer to the McAninch Arts Center and Cleve Carney Museum of ART.

The Woodridge Public Library is honored to host Diana Martinez, Executive Director of Warhol: Portfolios in Pop and Director of the McAninch Arts Center.

The College of DuPage Public Art Project 2023 is coming to the windows of the Woodridge Public Library with large Andy Warhol-inspired images of notable Woodridge figures. Attend the formal ribbon cutting at 6:30 p.m. on June 7, 2023, and learn more about the Woodridge Hometown Heroes that are being celebrated.

Outdoor ribbon cutting, brief introductory speeches, and photo ops, followed by 7 p.m. Andy Warhol - The American Dream lecture with Diana Martinez.
