July's Featured Artist

Dilip Mungole is a talented watercolor artist with over 25 years of experience. He creates beautiful paintings inspired by the natural sceneries and urban spaces of India and the United States. Living in Pune, India, and Chicago, USA, Dilip captures the unique essence of these places in his artwork, along with many other locations he has explored.

In his nature paintings, Dilip brings to life the serene landscapes of Pune, the peaceful parks and lakes of Chicago, and various other scenic spots he has visited. His work reflects a deep love for nature, showing its beauty and tranquility.

Dilip's urban scenes are equally captivating. He paints Pune’s historic buildings and busy streets with vibrant colors and rich details. In Chicago, his art highlights the city’s iconic skyline and lively neighborhoods, capturing the energy and diversity of urban life.

The public is invited to meet the artist during the Opening Reception on Friday, July 5 from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Library's lobby.
