Painting of an alley with bushes by Marj Nicoletti

Artist's Statement:

I call myself a Grandma Moses artist, not because I paint like her, but because I started painting later in life.  Most of my work is oil painting or watercolor; however, I have done pencil, fresco and encaustic (hot wax).  My work has hung at many local galleries, libraries and educational institutions.  I started at College of DuPage knowing very little of art and artists and have come to know of artists from Angelico to Wyeth and art from Abstract to Romanticism and learned to appreciate, if not like, all forms of art.

Artist Reception will be held on Sunday, June 22nd from 2 to 4 pm.
