Beata Nowak
Beata Nowak was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Her love of drawing and art began at a young age. During her school years, she concentrated on portraits, landscapes, and figure drawing. She worked as a calligrapher for three years, but then art was put on hold to take care of her family. Seven years ago, her art journey began again, but this time the focus was on nature, fluidity, and abstract art. As an avid hiker, nature plays a large role in Beata’s art, being used to express her feelings. Many of the birds and flowers she depicts are inspired by pictures from her many walks and hikes. Her detailed backgrounds are created with found objects and stencils for a layered effect. After joining the Naperville Art League, as encouraged by her husband, Beata now displays her art and helps other artists display their art around Naperville.
