Guiding Light Academy Volunteers

Some of the students particularly enjoy dusting and wiping down tables and furniture in the library. They also gain valuable skills by assembling the various craft kits. While many students find cutting to be a challenge, we have a few who are quite adept at it—some even better than I am! If you anticipate needing cutting assistance on a particular day, we can ensure that those students who excel at cutting are selected to participate.

Measuring and cutting string was a great activity last year and helped our students develop important skills. Additionally, some students are capable of organizing books, reshelving them, or even finding specific books when requested, once they are shown how.
