Event Details

Join genealogist Laura Kovarik as she discusses the soon-to-be-released 1950 U.S. Census. What new information will you learn about your family history?

The 1950 U.S. Census is scheduled for release on April 1, 2022. This census represents a potential treasure trove of new information for anyone interested in researching their family's history. Laura will review how the data was originally gathered, what questions were asked, and what information will be available on April 1st. Finally, she will look at how genealogists can prepare to dive into these records online to search with confidence.

Laura has been involved in genealogy for more than 25 years. She is a member - and past president - of the Illinois State Genealogical Society, as well as a member of the National Genealogical Society and Association of Professional Genealogists.

Wednesday, March 23, 7 p.m. This is a free virtual program using Zoom.
