Planning to plant new trees and improve your landscape? Now is the time! Arborist Debbie Fluegel from Trees Forever will walk us through the process of planting trees at home. From assessing your current yard to questions to ask at the nursery to ideal tree species and conditions, Debbie will cover the basics. With experience helping communities and homeowners recover from wind events and other disasters, she will focus on proper planting and care issues, whether you are planting one new tree or several.

Debbie Fluegel is the Illinois Program Manager for Trees Forever, and an ISA certified arborist, with ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification. She also serves as the Operations Manager for the Illinois Urban Forest Strike Team, which is a group of specially trained arborists and foresters, who volunteer their time to provide rapid tree risk assessments of public trees and privately-owned trees that may pose a threat to people or public land, in under-resourced communities, impacted by natural disasters.
