You're invited to a special night of poetry with Angela Jackson, current Poet Laureate of Illinois. Ms. Jackson will share some of her poetry, talk about her life experiences and give insights to aspiring poets and writers in a live Zoom presentation. Register to receive a Zoom link to attend.

Angela Jackson, the fifth Illinois Poet Laureate, is an award-winning poet, novelist, and playwright who has published three chapbooks and four volumes of poetry. Born in Greenville, Mississippi, and raised on Chicago's Southside, she was educated at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago. This event is presented with support from the Illinois Humanities Road Scholars Speakers Bureau.
