Event Details

Join us for a turtle tour of Shedd! Using turtles as our guide, kids will step into the shoes of animal care staff as they learn what it takes to support excellent animal health care at Shedd. Children at home will make observation rounds in the aquarium, interpret x-rays in the animal hospital and get a behind-the-scenes peek at some of Shedd’s turtle conservation efforts. Animal care staff members will take questions! Hear about the unique ways the Shedd aquarium cares for turtles of all shapes and sizes. Kids of all ages will enjoy seeing the turtles; Shedd staff will be sharing STEM facts and information focused on 2nd through 5th-grade science.

Pre-register for your household. In the week ahead of the program the library will forward you a link so you can join the program, live from home on May 31 at 1 p.m. using your computer, phone, or another device.
