The League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area and various area libraries are proud to partner to host the Civic Awareness Series, a program dedicated to the continued civic education and engagement of our patrons.

Celebrate Black History Month by joining forces to create a collaborative art piece inspired by Tyree Guyton's eclectic Heidleburg House Project.  We'll be using surprising, upcycled materials to design a spunky birdhouse village. 

Join us in celebrating Black History Month with a vibrant program of storytelling, music, and cultural traditions led by Kenyan educator and storyteller Elizabeth Kahura!

Meet with Felicia Acosta, a licensed clinical social worker who works with the Woodridge Police Department.

Award winning blues musician Fruteland Jackson has a decade spanning career that includes collaborations with renowned artists.  He is bringing his soulful act to the library for an afternoon of music.
